spiritomb is good because he has good moves AND is invounrable
A physical, and sometimes special sweeper (speedster) would be best.
could also use a tank with a scarf. An infernape, Alakazam, Gengar, Starmie, all work pretty well.
other people use different strategies, like using hippodown to start out with sandstorm.
people will use ambipom for fake out.
people, especially for double battles will use Ninjask for speed boost, substitute, sword dance, baton pass.
