Detective Pikachu is now available on Nintendo 3DS in Japan, Birth of a New Duo owners can immediately start Chapter 4

It’s officially March 23 in Japan, which means Detective Pikachu is now available for download via the Japanese Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS. Those who own save data for the original Detective Pikachu – Birth of a New Duo can immediately start playing Chapter 4 of the full Detective Pikachu game. As a bonus until April 22, 2018, a download code for the theme Pokémon: Detective Pikachu is also available for buyers. The download code is valid until May 31, 2018.

The Detective Pikachu amiibo is also available for purchase at retail. Detective Pikachu puts you in the shoes of Tim Goodman, who partners with a self-proclaimed “great detective” Pikachu to solve strange occurrences all over Ryme City. Together you must investigate, take notes and meet up with other Pokémon to unravel the city’s greatest mysteries.
