Turtwig Pokémon GO Community Day takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time tomorrow, September 15

The Grass-type Pokémon Turtwig will be the star of September‘s Pokémon GO Community Day, and you’ll definitely want to catch as many of these Pokémon as you can during the event! This Community Day event is taking place a bit earlier in the day than in recent months, so make sure you’re ready to go! The event will happen on Sunday, September 15, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time. Turtwig will appear much more frequently in the wild during this time, and if you’re lucky, you might even find a Shiny Turtwig, which means Shiny Grotle and Shiny Torterra will also make their Pokémon GO debuts.

If you evolve Grotle (the evolved form of Turtwig) into Torterra during the event or up to one hour afterward, the Torterra will know Frenzy Plant, a move it can’t normally learn. Plus, during the event, Lure Modules will last for three hours—and you’ll earn three times the Stardust for catching Pokémon! During Pokémon GO Community Day, spin PokéStops and you may receive 2 km Eggs that will hatch into Turtwig. Turtwig will also be available to challenge in raids.

As a reminder, Shadow Pokémon cannot learn event-exclusive moves. Purify Shadow Pokémon featured on Community Day before evolving for them to learn the exclusive move. You do not need use a TM to change Return as a move from Purified Pokémon in order to learn exclusive moves. However, the exclusive move will replace Return, even if you have two Charged Attacks.
