Dynamax Pichu, Riolu, Ditto, Togepi, Munchlax and more are now appearing in Pokémon Sword and Shield Max Raid Battles as part of an Easter-themed event that’s running until April 15. Read on below to learn more:
Ditto, Pichu, Mime Jr., Munchlax, Riolu, Mantyke, and More Appear in Max Raid Battles. Face off against Dynamax versions of little Pokémon in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield to earn useful items.
Trainers in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield might be surprised to see little Pokémon dramatically increasing in size in the Wild Area’s Max Raid Battles. From now until April 15, 2020, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, you’ll be more likely to encounter Dynamax versions of Ditto, Pichu, Cleffa, Togepi, Tyrogue, Wynaut, Budew, Bonsly, Mime Jr., Munchlax, Riolu, Mantyke, and Toxel in Max Raid Battles.
Additionally, defeating one of these Pokémon in a Max Raid Battle could reward you with useful items, such as a Destiny Knot or an Everstone.
To challenge these Pokémon in a Max Raid Battle, you’ll need to connect your Nintendo Switch system to the internet. Then, whenever you see a pillar of light shining from a Pokémon Den in the Wild Area, you can walk up to the Pokémon Den and interact with it to start a Max Raid Battle with a Dynamax Pokémon.
