Battle against other tough Trainers for a chance to compete in June’s Region Qualifiers.

Start training your most powerful Pokémon in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, because the Pokémon Players Cup IV Qualifier in-game competition will allow you to battle fellow Trainers with a Legendary Pokémon at your side. Perform well in this competition, and you might qualify for the Pokémon Players Cup IV Region Qualifiers. From there, you might have a chance of proving yourself worthy of becoming the Pokémon Players Cup IV champion!

The competition will use the Ranked Battles Series 8 regulations, which allow Trainers to include one Legendary Pokémon on their team that would ordinarily not be permitted in battle. See the list below under Eligible Pokémon.

There will be two divisions in this Online Competition: Juniors and Masters. Players born January 1, 2005, or later will be able to compete in the Junior Division, while players born December 31, 2004, or earlier will be able to compete in the Masters Division. Masters Division players will have a chance to earn an invitation to the Pokémon Players Cup IV Region Qualifiers, which will take place in June and feature a Swiss round format.

See the Pokémon Players Cup IV: Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Video Game Event Information page for more details. By taking part in this qualifier, you’ll also earn a participation gift of 50 Battle Points.
