Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass Wave 1 now available at no additional cost for players with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership, or as an individual purchase

Posted on March 18, 2022March 18, 2022 by Blogger

Nintendo recently revealed the Booster Course Pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Read on below to learn more:

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass – Wave 1 Launch

Get racing with 8 new classic Mario Kart courses! Wave 1 of the #MarioKart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass is available now!

The Booster Course Pass is available for free to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members, or can be purchased on its own.

Remastered DLC courses are speeding their way to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Here’s news that may get your heart racing: Additional courses remastered from past Mario Kart™ games are coming to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as paid DLC*! You’ll be able to access them with the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass.

Let’s learn a bit more, shall we?

How many courses are we talking about here?

Throughout 2022 and 2023, there will be six waves of content drops, each having eight courses. So, using the power of math, that means that 48 additional courses are planned to release by the end of 2023! You’ll be able to play these courses both locally and online**.

What courses are included?

The full list is under wraps for now, but you can expect to see courses from past Mario Kart games. In the first wave, you’ll get to race on courses such as Coconut Mall, Choco Mountain, and Tokyo Blur.

How do I access the content?

There are two ways to access it:

Option #1: If you have a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Packmembership, you will have access to the content as its released. This membership also gives you other perks, such as access to a selection of Nintendo 64™ and SEGA Genesis games with added online play, access to the Animal Crossing™: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise DLC* (at no additional cost), and all the benefits of a Nintendo Switch Online membership.

You can sign up by visiting here.

Option #2: You can also buy the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass separately. Please note that the pass will give you access to all six waves as they release, and you will not be able to buy waves separately. If you’re interested in this route, you can pre-order the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass here.

ESRB Rating: e

Comic Mischief, Online interactions not rated by the ESRB.

*Full version of game required to use DLC. Sold separately

**Any Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) and Nintendo Account required for online features. Not available in all countries. Internet access required for online features. Terms apply. nintendo.com/switch-online
