A new patch has been made available for Pokemon GO. Available now on iOS and Android devices, update version 1.0.2 addresses the issues users encountered when trying to log in via their Pokemon Trainer Club account. Once the patch has been applied, you should be able to sign in with no difficulties. Pokemon GO’s first patch also went live earlier this week.

That issue should be rectified by now, but they’re probably still experiencing heavy traffic – so I’d wait a bit longer and try again 🙂

i think I have a solution!
If you are trying to log in to a pokemon trainer’s account that was previously created and you are getting an “incorrect password” error, your trainer’s account must be re “verified” I know it sounds crazy but, I accidentally stumbled on to it tonight. go to https://club.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-trainer-club/activated and input your username and password. It will resend you an activation e-mail. Once you re “activate” your trainer’s account via the link it will let you back in. Please let me know if this works for anyone else and if it does work for you please forward the info so more people can get back to playing!
