Pokemon Sun and Moon allow you to ride certain Pokemon to get to hard-to-reach places

There’s a new element called Poké Ride in Pokemon Sun and Moon. As its name suggests, it allows you to ride on certain Pokemon to help you reach places that are not accessible using human strength. Poké Rides are a norm in the Alola region, where humans and Pokemon are closely bound together. In addition, these Pokemon don’t join the player’s team, but they can be called upon anytime for help in the game. You’ll be able to try this feature out for yourself when Pokemon Sun and Moon arrive in November for Nintendo 3DS.
