Pokémon GO has grossed $1 billion worldwide since launch

Since its debut on July 6, 2016, Pokémon GO has surpassed $1 billion in worldwide gross revenue on the App Store and Google Play. This officially makes it the fastest mobile game in the history of the app stores to reach this milestone. By comparison, Supercell’s Clash Royale, which is itself closing in on $1 billion spent in-app by players, was released nearly 10 months ago, on March 2, 2016. The chart above visualizes the cumulative gross revenue for Pokémon GO’s first seven months of availability, showing how they compare to its fellow 2016 release and top-earner Clash Royale.
