Pokémon GO players affected by “blue screen of death” issue

A number of Pokémon GO users have been reporting that they are sometimes unable to access the game upon opening the app, due to a seemingly frozen load screen that is being dubbed “blue screen of death.” When they encounter this issue, players’ only option is to reset the game by closing the app and trying to open it again.
