The 2018 Pokémon International Championships draw Pokémon TCG and video game players from all around the globe during the Championship Series season. These events will feature high Championship Point payouts.

Travel Awards and Travel Stipends to the International Championships will be available to players worldwide based on Championship Point performance in their home rating zone (except South Africa and Russia, where Travel Awards will not be distributed).
All players who have a Trainer Club account and are in good standing with the Play! Pokémon program are welcome to participate.

Travel Award Cutoff Dates
For Pokémon TCG competitors: The top 4 Championship Point earners in each age group as of the below designated dates will earn full Travel Awards for the corresponding event. Players ranked 5–16 in Championship Points in each group will earn a Travel Stipend of $1,000 (less applicable taxes) should they choose to attend the corresponding event.
For Pokémon VG competitors: The top 4 Championship Point earners in each age group as of the below designated dates will earn full Travel Awards for the corresponding event. Players ranked 5–8 in Championship Points in each group will earn a Travel Stipend of $1,000 (less applicable taxes) should they choose to attend the corresponding event.
European International Championships: Awards and Stipends for travel to European International Championships are based on final Championship Point totals from the 2017 season.
Oceania International Championships: Awards and Stipends for travel to Oceania International Championships are based on total Championship Points earned in 2018 season events and reported as of November 30, 2017.
Latin American International Championships: Awards and Stipends for travel to Latin American International Championships are based on total Championship Points earned in 2018 season events and reported as of February 15, 2018.
North America International Championships: Awards and Stipends for travel to North American International Championships are based on total Championship Points earned in 2018 season events and reported as of May 3, 2018.

Prizes
Prizes are awarded to the top players in each of three age divisions. Players must have a Pokémon Trainer Club account with a Player ID attached, and must have opted in to the Play! Pokémon program in order to earn points and awards.
For the Pokémon TCG and Video Game International Championships, the format of each prize is dependent on the age of the recipient. Here are the Internationals prizes for the 2018 Play! Pokémon Championship Series season.
18 years of age and older:
- Awards of $5,000 or more: Choice of scholarship or cash
- Awards under $5,000: Cash
Under 18 years of age:
- Awards of $5,000 or more: Choice of scholarship or Visa Gift Card
- Awards under $5,000: Visa Gift Card
Prizes and prize distribution may be subject to change.
All participants will receive 5 Play! Points and a Pokémon International Championships promo card (while supplies last), just for playing!
Prizes are based on attendance per age division. Unless otherwise specified, all prizes are paid in US dollars and subject to applicable tax withholding. Prize winners should consult a qualified tax professional regarding their tax obligations.
