First-hand account of the “disastrous” Pokémon GO Fest

The first-ever Pokémon GO Fest recently took place in Chicago, Illinois, and went through a number of mishaps and technical issues. Visitors who traveled from far and wide spent hours in the blistering sun, unable to play the game due to massive bugs and server errors, as explained in the below excerpt from The Game Informer Show podcast, where host Andrew Reiner talks about traveling to Chicago for the worldwide and why Niantic and The Pokémon Company’s first big convention was such a “cringe-filled disaster.”
