Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon confirmed for the 2018 Pokémon World Championships

Taking place this weekend, August 18-20, the 2017 Pokémon World Championships is officially underway, bringing hundreds of the world’s best Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), video game and Pokkén Tournament players to compete in Anaheim, California, for the title of Pokémon World Champion. The 2017 Pokémon World Championships is being streamed online across multiple different channels, so viewers can watch their favorite players and events all weekend long. During the opening ceremony at the 2017 Pokémon World Championships, Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda appeared on stage to confirm that Kangaskhan and an increased number of Tauros are now appearing in Pokémon GO at the 2017 Pokémon World Championships in Anaheim. He also unveiled a new trailer showcasing Kommo-o‘s exclusive Z-Move from Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon, which is officially called Clangorous Soulblaze. Masuda also confirmed that Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon is among the competitive games that will be featured at the 2017 Pokémon World Championships. The Pokémon Company president Tsunekazu Ishihara also appeared on stage to confirm that Ultra Beasts are officially coming to the Pokémon TCG.
