Pokkén Tournament DX is the first game confirmed for the 2018 Pokémon World Championships

Taking place this weekend, August 18-20, the 2017 Pokémon World Championships is officially underway, bringing hundreds of the world’s best Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), video game and Pokkén Tournament players to compete in Anaheim, California, for the title of Pokémon World Champion. The 2017 Pokémon World Championships is being streamed online across multiple different channels, so viewers can watch their favorite players and events all weekend long. During the opening ceremony at the 2017 Pokémon World Championships, The Pokémon Company president Tsunekazu Ishihara appeared on stage to confirm that Pokkén Tournament DX will be featured as part of the 2018 Pokémon World Championships next year. Demo stations for the upcoming Nintendo Switch game are also set up at this year’s Worlds in Anaheim, California.
