Registration is now open for the 2017 Pokémon European International Championships

Registration is now open for the 2017 Pokémon European International Championships, which are the first International Championships event of the 2017 Championship Series season. This amazing event will take place at ExCeL London in London, England, from December 9–11, 2016. It will feature high Championship Point payouts (equal to previous years’ National Championships) and a prize pool value of up to $250,000 (based on attendance), spread between the Pokémon TCG and video game competitions.

Anyone in good standing with the Play! Pokémon program can participate! The Masters Division competitions will begin Friday, December 9, and go through Sunday, December 11. Junior and Senior Division competitions will take place on Saturday and Sunday. Online preregistration is available for both Pokémon TCG and video game competitors. The registration fee is £40 for Masters Division players and £25 for Junior and Senior Division players.

If seats are still available, players may be able to sign up for late registration at an additional cost. The late registration window for Masters Division players is Thursday, December 8, from 6–9 p.m., and the fee is £50. The late registration window for Junior and Senior Division players is Friday, December 9, from 6–9 p.m., and the fee is £30.

Some side events may also charge entry fees. Preregistration and check-in for participation at all main events is mandatory.

The official schedule for the 2017 Pokémon European International Championships is as follows:

Thursday, 8 December

6–9 p.m.: Masters Division player check-in / late registration (subject to availability)

Friday, 9 December

8–8:30 a.m.: Masters Division player late check-in (by prior arrangement only)

8:30 a.m.: Hall doors open

9 a.m.: Masters Division Day 1 players’ meeting (TCG and VG)

Masters Division play begins immediately after players’ meeting. Players may be divided into flights based on attendance.

6–9 p.m.: Junior and Senior Division player check-in / late registration (subject to availability)

Saturday, 10 December

8–8:30 a.m.: Junior and Senior Division player late check-in (by prior arrangement only)

8:30 a.m.: Hall doors open

9 a.m.: Junior and Senior Division Day 1 players’ meeting (TCG and VG)

Junior and Senior Division play begins immediately after players’ meeting.

9 a.m.: Masters Division Day 2 start (TCG and VG)

Sunday, 11 December

8:30 a.m.: Hall doors open

8:30 a.m.: All divisions Top 8 check-in (TCG and VG)

9 a.m.: All divisions Top 8 start (TCG and VG)
