An issue was recently found in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon that sometimes affects certain moves. Four moves have been temporarily banned from all Play! Pokémon video game tournaments because of this issue. The bans are effective immediately, and are in effect until the release of version 1.2 of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon. The four banned moves are:
- Curse
- Forest’s Curse
- Power Trick
- String Shot
Championship Series events not operated with or by The Pokémon Company International must be conducted through the Festival Plaza feature until further notice. The full rules can be found on the official Play! Pokémon Rules & Resources page.
