Nintendo reconfirms fix to issue with Nintendo Switch owners’ play activity, apologizes to those affected

Play times for launch-day titles are now being reset on Nintendo Switch profiles. This only appears to affect the play times listed in your user profile; save data for the titles in question remains unchanged, but you can no longer accurately see how many hours you’ve sunk into any games you first started playing on launch day. However, Nintendo is aware of the issue and is working on a fix that will be implemented via an upcoming patch for the console. The company recently reconfirmed that this issue will be rectified and apologized to all those affected by it:

Some Nintendo Switch owners’ play activity info is displaying incorrectly, but play activity is still being recorded accurately in the background. A future system update will resolve this issue & ensure play time data is correctly displayed. We apologize for the inconvenience.
