The first-ever exhibition tournament featuring Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch is set to take place at E3 2018 on June 11 and 12. Not much else is known about Nintendo’s E3 plans for this year, but many are speculating that Pokémon Switch will be featured. The company is planning to reveal some of its plans as early as this month, according to Nintendo of America’s Bill Trinen.
Trinen also said that this is the first of “many” E3 announcements regarding Nintendo’s programming, and we should hear more in the next month or so. If pro players are getting their hands on Super Smash Bros. for Switch, it’s safe to assume E3 attendees — including ticket holders from the public — will be able to do the same when the show floor opens June 12.
