Pokémon GO receives a graphical upgrade with 8-bit graphics until April 7

Pokémon GO Receives a Graphical…Upgrade? Experience the world of Pokémon GO like never before with a brand-new look for your Pokédex.

Pokémon GO Trainers might find something unusual when they check out their Pokédex starting April 1, 2018. They will discover that the Pokémon they collected have a very…peculiar look about them—maybe a bit “blockier” than what they were used to? What mysterious circumstances have left the Pokédex in this pixel-y state? We may never know!

We estimate that the Pokédex will retain this retro look until April 7, so enjoy your Pokémon’s new style while you can. This might also be a good time to step out and catch some new Pokémon! After all, it will be fun to see them with this “new” look before the Pokédex reverts to normal.
