The latest Japanese gaming sales figures have revealed that the Nintendo Switch was the best-selling console for the sixth consecutive month during August 2018, nearly reaching five million in total sales in the region alone. During the four-week period between July 30 and August 26, Nintendo’s latest console sold 199,000 units across Japan, bringing the total figure for units sold to 4.966 million – a number that is expected to increase to five million by the end of this week.
