With Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee releasing on November 16th, HORI are capitalizing on the game by releasing a Pikachu themed version of there D-Pad Joy-Con on the same day. As seen in the image above, it is a black left Joy-Con with yellow lightning bolts and silhouette of the beloved Pikachu.
Just like other versions of this Joy-Con it costs $24.99, half the cost of a standard Joy-Con. However, the lower cost comes with a few drawbacks. It doesn’t support Bluetooth, nor has a battery, meaning it can only be used when attached to they system in handheld mode. The lack of battery also means that it takes power from the Switch itself, reducing battery life.
