First details revealed for new Z-Powered update for Pokémon Duel

The Pokémon Company has revealed that Pokémon Duel will be getting a Z-Powered update in the near future. Set to dispatch early next year, this new update will introduce brand-new figures, including Dawn Wings Necrozma and Dusk Mane Necrozma. Z-Moves will be the core focus of this update. A preliminary bonus will be made available to players on December 3, when they’ll have access to Bloom Doom, Hydro Vortex and Inferno Overdrive.

If you activate a Z-Move when your Z-Move Gauge is full, all 96 segments of your Pokémon figure’s move wheel will transform into the Z-Move so it can be the only move spun and your opponent’s Blue Moves become misses. The damage of Z-Moves are double the damage of the highest damage attack on the Pokémon. This preview is a test to see how the Z-Moves work in the metagame and may be adjusted in the future based on tests and feedback. With this update, they are also removing the purchaseable Booster feature to make it easier to get the figures you want. This is is not done in exchange for Gems and they recommend you use all Booster Tickets before the update. Boosters can still be obtained as rewards.
