Niantic confirms Heatran is the last Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon GO for 2018

The Legendary Pokémon Heatran is now available in Pokémon GO for the first time. Originally discovered in the Sinnoh region, Heatran makes its dwelling in volcanic caves and is sure to be one of the most coveted Fire-type attackers in Pokémon GO. Be sure to add it to your lineup before it disappears from Gyms on January 15, 2019, at 1 p.m. PST. To catch Heatran, you can use only the Premier Balls you earn from defeating it, so it’s crucial to be prepared. Help your team take over the Gym before the raid starts, battle alongside your friends, and pick Pokémon that will perform well in battle to maximize your chances. According to Niantic, Heatran is the last new Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon GO for 2018. The official announcement from the development team is as follows:

RAID BATTLES FORGE INTO THE NEW YEAR WITH HEATRAN!

One more legendary surprise is coming to Pokémon GO in 2018! The Fire- and Steel-type Lava Dome Pokémon, Heatran, will join Raid Battles across the world from December 18 to January 15! Be sure to assemble a team that includes Water-, Fighting-, and Ground-type Pokémon to take down this Legendary Pokémon before it overpowers your team with its massive strength. Don’t miss this chance to catch this Legendary Pokémon before it returns to its mountain home! Stay safe, and happy exploring!
