You can hatch Pokémon like Onix, Larvitar, Lileep, Anorith and Shieldon from 2 km Eggs during Adventure Week in Pokémon GO

This year’s Adventure Week is now underway for Pokémon GO players around the world. Read on below for all the details:

Date + Time

  • Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at 1 p.m. to Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at 1 p.m. PDT (GMT −7)


  • Rock-type Pokémon like Geodude, Rhyhorn, Omanyte, Aron, Lileep, Anorith and many others are appearing more frequently in the wild.
  • Hatch Rock-type Pokémon such as Onix, Larvitar, Lileep, Anorith and Shieldon from 2 km Eggs.
  • Challenge Onix, the Rock Snake Pokémon, and other Rock-type Pokémon in raids.
  • The Shiny versions of Onix, Steelix, Lileep, Cradily, Anorith and Armaldo have made their Pokémon GO debuts.


  • Earn 4× Buddy Candy (Tip: Turn on Adventure Sync to make every step count!)
  • Visit new PokéStops and earn 10× XP on your first spin of each Photo Disc
  • Trainers who have Adventure Sync activated and walk 50 km will earn 50,000 Stardust and 15 Rare Candies!
  • New Adventure Week–themed avatar items are now available in the Style Shop.

Field Research

  • Specially themed Field Research tasks is available for a limited time during this event.

Due to the issues affecting Adventure Sync, Niantic has extended the deadline to reach walking 50km to earn 50,000 Stardust and 15 Rare Candies for Adventure Week. You now have until June 17 at 9 a.m. to complete this challenge. As a reminder, don’t miss out on your chance to hatch a Shiny Onix, Lileep, or Anorith with the help of the exclusive Special Box sales you can get in the in-game shop.
