This year’s Pokémon GO Fest Chicago is taking place from June 13 to June 16 in Chicago, Illinois. Niantic is hosting a number of special activities for attendees, including rare Pokémon appearances. The Mythical Pokémon Jirachi made its Pokémon GO debut at the Chicago-based event via new Special Research. In celebration of Pokémon GO Fest 2019, the Water-type Pokémon Horsea is now appearing more frequently globally. Shiny Horsea, Shiny Seadra and Shiny Kingdra have also made their Pokémon GO debuts. A new GO Fest 2019 Tee is now available for free. Special Pokémon are now appearing throughout downtown Chicago during Pokémon GO Fest 2019 in Illinois, but only Pokémon GO players with event tickets are allowed to encounter any Pokémon in Grant Park.
Some Pokémon appearing in the Pokémon GO Fest 2019 in Chicago are now appearing worldwide. Alolan Vulpix and Flower Crown Eevee are among the special Pokémon spawning at the Pokémon GO Fest 2019 in Chicago. Loudred, Chimecho and more Pokémon are now photobombing GO Snapshot photos at the event. Shiny Abra, Shiny Kadabra and Shiny Alakazam have also made their Pokémon GO debuts at the event. Due to severe weather in Chicago, Illinois, the third day of Pokémon GO Fest 2019 has been paused and will reopen as soon as it’s safe to go back outside. As you may already know, Niantic will not provide refunds to those affected by the weather. The following statement comes from the developer:
“The event will take place rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. No refunds will be given due to inclement weather. In the case of extreme weather, directions to the nearest shelters will be communicated to the attendees. Shelter locations will also be listed on the event map.”
