Niantic deletes scheduled tweet about the canceled Mewtwo Legendary Raid Hour in Pokémon GO

Niantic recently announced Legendary Raid Hour events for every Wednesday evening in September for Pokémon GO players around the world. Read on below for more details:

For one hour every Wednesday evening, Raid Battles with the currently featured Legendary Pokémon will happen more frequently.

Date + Time

From 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in your local time zone on the following dates:

Features

  • There will be an increased number of five-star raids during the event hour.
  • Due to issues with the September 18 Raid Hour in New Zealand, Niantic has extended the period until 8 p.m. local time.
  • The Mewtwo Raid Hour has been postponed entirely due to “technical difficulties.”
  • Niantic has published a scheduled tweet about the Mewtwo Raid Hour, but please be aware that it is still postponed to a later date. Update: Niantic has since delted the scheduled tweet.
