Pokémon Sword and Shield are now available for Nintendo Switch, and they’re already performing exceptionally well in terms of sales across the globe. Read on below to learn more:
“Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield sold 1,364,544 retail copies in its first three days of release in Japan, according to Famitsu numbers. This number includes physical game copies, download cards, and the Pokemon Sword and Shield Double Pack, but does not include digital sales. The latest entry in the Pokemon series surpassed Super Smash Bros. Ultimate‘s 1.23 million units as the best selling opening week for a Switch title in Japan.
“Switch hardware, which includes both the standard and Lite models, sold 180,136 units between November 11 and 17, which is around the same boost hardware sales received when Pokemon: Let’s Go, Piakchu! and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! launched, but nearly 100,000 units less than the boost from when Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launched.”
