Raid Battle does not progress to rewards screen after defeating Raid Boss
Issue description: After defeating a Raid Boss, the app does not consistently progress to show the rewards earned for the Raid Battle and instead stalls on the Raid Battle screen with the timer still ticking down.
Workaround: If the Raid Battle is still active at the Gym, you’ll be able to access the Raid Pokémon encounter by tapping on the Gym or the Raid Invitation again.
Issue status: One root cause has been identified and fixed. We will continue to investigate this issue to find out of there are other causes.
Location tags for Gifts and caught Pokémon missing on iOS
Issue description: The tags describing the location where a Gift was collected or where a Pokémon was caught are not appearing on iOS devices on version 0.183.0.
Issue status: Resolved in upcoming update
Visual bug: Invited friends who rejoin a Raid Battle are requested to use another Raid Pass
Issue description: If you join a Raid Battle remotely through a friend’s invite and are removed to the Map View (e.g., after an app crash) after the Raid Battle begins, you must have another Remote Raid Pass in your Item Bag before you are able to rejoin the battle. This is a visual bug and the second pass is not actually consumed upon re-entry. However, due to this issue players without an additional Remote Raid Pass in their Item Bag may be requested to purchase one to be able to rejoin the Raid Battle.
Issue status: Resolved in an upcoming update
Avatars don’t show up properly in raid lobbies
Issue description
: We are investigating reports of Trainer avatars appearing incorrectly in raid lobbies. Some avatars do not appear at all, while others may appear as silhouettes or with incorrect textures on their avatar items. Occasionally, players may also see avatars in lobbies from previous Raid Battles. In any case, the player count is accurate when these errors occur and should reflect the correct number of players in the raid lobby.
Issue status: Investigating
The Pokémon GO app becomes unresponsive to user input after using a berry in an encounter
Issue description
: After using a berry during a Pokémon encounter, Trainers may experience a rare issue that causes all screen input to not register in the game.
Issue status: Resolved. We are investigating further root causes of unresponsive apps in Pokémon encounters.

GO Battle League and Trainer Battle Related Issues

  • Opponents using more than two Shields
    Issue description
: Some Trainers have observed their opponents using three or more Shields. When there are latency issues or when one or both Trainers has a weak connection, using a Shield before an opponent’s Charged Attack may not properly consume the Shield, which can result in more than two Shields being used in a single Battle.
Issue status: Adjustments that lessen the occurrence of this error have been put in place, but weak connections may continue to cause this issue.
    • Charged Attacks fired at the same time allow Trainer with first Charged Attack to switch Pokémon
      Issue description
: In Trainer Battles, when Charged Attacks occur at the same time, the Trainer whose move goes first is able to switch their Pokémon before their opponent’s Charged Attack lands.
Issue status: Resolved in a recent update
    • Fast Attacks are slower than intended in Trainer Battles
      Issue description
: On some Android devices, Fast Attacks are landing more slowly than intended in Trainer Battles.
      Issue status: Investigating
    • Delay after Charged Attack
      Issue description
Pokémon in Trainer Battles do not always resume combat simultaneously after Charged Attacks. One Pokemon may resume combat after the other, resulting in lost turns.
      Issue status: Investigating

Buddy Adventure Related Issues

  • Issues affecting the “Battle together” heart
    Issue description
: The “battle together” affection heart is not consistently earned when battling with your buddy in Gyms. There may also be a delay in receiving this heart when earned this way. This bug does not occur when battling with your buddy in other ways, such as battling with Friends or in GO Battle League..
    Issue status: Investigating
  • Poffin bonuses are reset at midnight (local time)
    Issue description
: Poffin bonuses are reset at midnight (local time) regardless of what time the Poffin is consumed by a Buddy Pokémon.
    Issue status: Investigating
  • Players may not be able to see other Trainers’ buddies during a Shared AR Experience
    Issue description:
Players may not be able to see other Trainers’ Buddy Pokémon during a Shared AR Experience.
Workaround: First, try restarting the Pokémon GO app before starting a new Shared AR Experience. If the problem persists, leave the Shared AR Experience and wait a few minutes before trying again.
    Issue status: Investigating
