You can now receive new AR Mapping Field Research tasks in Pokémon GO

Pokémon GO is being updated to a new version across all capable iOS and Android devices. The latest update is being rolled out to iOS and Android devices, respectively. According to patch notes from the development team at Niantic, the latest update implements various bug fixes and improvements for an overall smoother experience.

What’s New in Version 1.155.0 (iOS)

Trainers, there’s always something new in Pokémon GO! You can now enjoy the following.

– NEW AR Mapping Tasks: Experience Pokémon GO in a new way with new geo-targeted Field Research tasks!
– Masks category added to the Style Shop
– Updates to AR Scan

Trainers, there’s always something new in Pokémon GO! You can now enjoy the following.

– NEW AR Mapping Tasks: Experience Pokémon GO in a new way with new geo-targeted Field Research tasks!

  • Soon, Trainers will be able to receive new AR Mapping Field Research tasks
  • A new “Mask” category will be added to the Style Shop
  • Improvements to the PokéStop Scan feature
  • A new modal has been added to remind Trainers on iOS 14 devices to toggle on the “Precise Location” feature to be able to play Pokémon GO
  • A sticker icon will now be shown on the Friend list if a Friend sent you a Gift with a sticker attached to it

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue in which Trainers were unable to switch Pokémon on the same turn that they used a Fast Attack in Trainer Battles
  • Fixed an issue that caused the CP calculation for Mega Pokémon to be incorrect if the Pokémon was powered up prior to Mega Evolution
  • Fixed an issue that caused the screen to snap while scrolling up and down the Pokémon Storage page
  • Fixed an issue that caused Pokémon to appear off-screen after a Trade
