The holiday season is often a time of giving, and what better gift is there than the gift of Pokémon? Of course, in the world of Pokémon, it’s always a good time to receive a new partner to raise. Throughout the Pokémon video game series, you can be gifted many different Pokémon by completing special tasks—or simply by chatting with a particularly generous person. This quiz will test your knowledge of these Pokémon presents.

1. Once you finish a series of challenges on the Galar region’s Isle of Armor, dojo master Mustard will gift you this Legendary Pokémon.

2. After you meet Bill in the Johto region’s Ecruteak City, stop by his house in Goldenrod City. Inside, Bill will gift you this Pokémon, which can evolve into one of multiple different Pokémon.

3. There’s a person in the Unova region’s Dreamyard who will gift you one of three different Pokémon depending on which Pokémon you chose as your first partner. If you selected the Water-type Oshawott, you’ll get this Fire-type Pokémon.

4. Looking to travel across the Kanto region’s waters? You could always ride on this Transport Pokémon, which you can get from a Silph Co. employee in Saffron City as a thank-you for rescuing them from Team Rocket.

5. From the Alola region, you can travel through an Ultra Wormhole to the Ultra Megalopolis. Once you defeat Ultra Necrozma there, the Ultra Recon Squad will gift you this ultra-adorable Ultra Beast.

6. Rescue the scientists in the Hoenn region’s Weather Institute and they will reward you with this Pokémon, which can change its form depending on the weather.

7. While traveling through the Sinnoh region, you’ll find a man in Veilstone City who will give you this Virtual Pokémon, which is the first artificial Pokémon to be created via computer programming.

8. Gym Leader Korrina in the Kalos region has two of this Pokémon, one of which forms a bond with you. After battling her atop the Tower of Mastery, this Pokémon decides it wants to accompany you on your journey.

9. Upon earning the high scores in Mantine Surf at all four of the Alola region’s Surf Spots, the Boss of the Surf Association in Heahea City will gift you this Pokémon that knows the move Surf, which is unusual for its species.

10. If you stop by the Pokémon Nursery on Route 5 in the Galar region, a woman inside will gift you this Pokémon, which she explains just hatched from an Egg.

11. Rood, a former Team Plasma Sage in the Unova region, wishes to atone for his shady past by offering you this Tricky Fox Pokémon that used to belong to the enigmatic N.

12. Once you defeat Steven Stone, the Hoenn region Champion, you’ll get to enter the Hall of Fame. Later, you can visit Steven’s house in Mossdeep City, where you’ll find a note from the former champ—along with a gift of this Iron Ball Pokémon.

13. One of Professor Elm’s assistants in the Johto region will give you an Egg at Violet City. Take good care of that Egg, and it will hatch into this happy little Spike Ball Pokémon.

14. Once you become the Galar region Champion, someone inside the Battle Tower will give you this Legendary Pokémon, which can then evolve into a Pokémon capable of changing its type depending on the memory disc it’s holding.

15. Accompany fellow Pokémon Trainer Riley though the mines on the Sinnoh region’s Iron Island, and he’ll give you an Egg. That Egg will hatch into this energetic Pokémon, which uses auras to gauge how others are feeling.

0–6 points: You’re making a list—one that contains all the Pokémon you can receive as gifts, of course! Keep studying that list, and you’ll do even better!

7–10 points: You’re checking it twice—the list of Pokémon gifts, that is! Your knowledge of Pokémon presents is solid, but there’s always more to learn!

11–13 points: You have this quiz almost wrapped up! A score this nice means you must have been presented with plenty of Pokémon during your adventures.

14–15 points: You’re truly gifted! Now that your Pokémon knowledge is present and accounted for, you should help others become as skilled as you!
