This special day commemorates the milestone of launching the very first Pokémon games in Japan back in 1996 – Pokémon Red and Green for the original Game Boy. The Pokémon Company is celebrating this year with a slew of Pokémon-themed events and new products, including video games, Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) products, new Pokémon the Series episodes, a brand-new movie and much more.
