Here we go, another community day on the horizon. We can argue that we are not happy with the starter/non-starter rotation or that a Pokémon is not good for this reason or another. However, this is what we have and with that being said, we need to make the most of what we do have.
As has been a recent theme, we will have 3-hour lure modules on top of the 3-hour incense. If you just can’t catch enough of them, or you have modules burning a whole in your bag, then feel free to put on what you need. At the very least, it might help you get closer to getting a platinum for the Picnicker medal. Adding on to this, we can also get an additional 5 photobombs that will help with the Cameraman medal.
Another perk is grabbing yourself a shiny Tepig for your collection if you still require one. Personally, I’ll be trying to grab another sub-50CP shiny for my collection.
We will also be seeing an exclusive move for Pignite in Blast Burn. This can be learnt by any Emboar evolved into Pignite during the event, and up to 2 hours after. This will give you plenty of time to trade Tepigs after the event and evolving until the 7pm mark.
As usual, there will be a $0.99 USD Optional Special Research which will yield you some extra encounters, extra candy, stardust/xp, and possibly some premium items (such as an incense).
Available for 1280 Pokécoins, you can also grab the community day bundle. This will contain 50x Ultra Balls, 5x Incense, 5x Stardust, and one Elite Charged TM. This is about standard for a community day bundle, however it might be worth picking up if you need the Elite TM, especially with the Go Fest raid day coming soon.
All of this is fine, and about what we expect from a community day now. However, the last bonus is what might be the most important. As I mentioned before, the Go Fest raid day is coming up. What do you need to make these raids easier? Stronger Pokémon. We’ll be getting 3x catch stardust (6x with a Star Piece on) and this will help in a massive way, especially for those who are newer to the game. I will be making a series of articles for Go Fest 2021, but for now, you will need to gain as much stardust as possible. As Tepig is a fire type, we will need Sunny weather conditions to make the most of this bonus.
As always, play the game how you enjoy it. If you’re a raider, or are trying to get to that point, this community day is still important.
Happy hunting and as always, let me know if I have missed out on anything!
