Pokémon Go Fest 2021 – Prep Guide Part 5 – Cave Habitat

Hello all, continuing from the last article, this is the last bitesize article covering day one of Go Fest 2021. This time I will show you all you need to know about the Cave hours during the first day of the event.

Firstly, this habitat will be active between 1:00pm – 2:00pm as well as 5:00pm – 6:00pm.

During this time, all trainers (regardless if you have brought a ticket or not) will be able to see the following Pokémon:

Roggenrola– One of my favourite shiny Pokémon. It’s evolutions don’t see much play in the Go Battle League, however it can be pretty useful as a budget counter in raids. It could see a Community Day in the future, so I would hold out on evolving them just now. Firstly, it will cost you 200 candy to evolve from Boldore to Gigalith, so you’re better off trading them with friends in order to unlock the free evolution and wait until the community day to evolve your Boldore to get the community day move.

Galarian Stunfisk– This Pokémon is an absolute beast in the Go Battle League. It ranks at #2 (0/12/15) in the Great League and #3 (15/15/15) in the Ultra League with XL candy. If you’re looking for a great Pokémon for the GBL or you’re just starting out, this can be a great start to building your ideal team.

Deino– I will temper my excitement as much as possible, but the fact that Deino will be appearing in the wild is just… wild. It has only been accessible by hatching 12k eggs as well as appearing in the occasional raid during past events. We will also be able to challenge Deino in raids on the Saturday as well. Deino also has a shiny potential which can make it a strong contender to be a key Pokémon to raid on Saturday if you so desire. This is another Pokémon that is a strong contender for a future community day so I would recommend using some pinap berries to get as much candy as you can!

For those with a Go Fest Ticket, the following Pokémon will be attracted to incense:

Galvantula– This Pokémon sees a lot of play in the Go Battle League, even though it ranks at #121 (0/15/15) in the Great League and #159 (15/15/15) in the Ultra League. It is also a second stage Pokémon, which will yield us XL candy as well as 300 stardust (350 in Rainy conditions).

Absol– A fan favourite with the potential of a shiny and mega makes this Pokémon a great one to catch.

Gardevoir– Another Pokémon with a mega potential in the future, so it’ll be a good idea to catch as many as possible. It is a third stage Pokémon so we will be getting 500 stardust (625 in Windy and Cloudy weather). It is most useful in the Master League where it ranks #67 (15/15/15).

Umbreon– The last Pokémon available to us through incense during the first day of Pokémon Go Fest 2021 is another great one for the Go Battle League. It is extremely bulky, and can be of some use in raids as a budget counter. It ranks #32 (0/15/15) in the Great League and #19 (15/15/15) in the Ultra League. It is also a second stage evolution so we will also get 300 stardust (350 in Foggy conditions) per catch as well as XL candy.

Unown F & G – As with the previous hour, these Pokémon will be available to catch, including the shiny form.

That wraps up all of the habitats for the first day of Go Fest 2021! I hope you all grab what you need. Happy hunting everyone.
