New Pokémon GO widget now available for iOS and Android devices that lets you keep track of your Buddy

Pokémon GO is being updated to a new version across all capable iOS and Android devices. The latest update is being rolled out to iOS and Android devices, respectively. According to patch notes from the development team at Niantic, the latest update implements various bug fixes and improvements for an overall smoother experience.

  • A new widget is now available for iOS and Android devices that lets you keep track of your Buddy
  • If multiple research tasks progress at once, the research task notifications will batch together into one summary notification
  • A shortcut button to submit combat logs was added to the end of GO Battle League, Team Leader, and Friend battle flows

Bug Fixes

  • Mitigated an issue where sometimes tapping on a Pokémon on the map would lead to a screen with only a close-up of the Pokémon
  • Fixed an issue where Pokémon would sometimes disappear when Trainers dragged their profile page down
  • Fixed an issue where the Trainers could not swipe between Pokémon on the Appraisal screen without swiping directly the text box
  • Fixed an issue with GO Battle League music would sometimes continue playing even after a match ended
  • Fixed an issue where a shield would sometimes not turn red when defending against a Charged Attack
  • Fixed an issue where %PLAYERNAME% was displayed in one of the tutorial dialogues instead of the Trainer’s name
  • Fixed an issue where notification rings to pin a Postcard would not disappear after navigating away from the Gift screen
  • Fixed an issue where the word “POKÉMON” would appear above the Use Item screen
  • Fixed an issue where refreshing game data would sometimes turn off features Trainers had opted into such as Adventure Sync and AR+
  • Fixed an issue where typing two characters in the Friends List search bar sometimes closed the keyboard
  • Fixed an issue where the Buddy would sometimes be slow to appear on the map view after the Trainer had fed it
  • Fixed an issue where it appeared that Trainers could evolve Fomantis even during the night time
