Count Down the Days to Christmas This Year With The Pokémon Holiday Pop Up Calendar

Christmas is coming up soon, and Pokémon fans can celebrate early with the release of the Pokemon Holiday Pop Up Calendar by the Pokemon Company.

It goes without saying that Pokemon is one of the most beloved franchises with one of the most loyal fanbases from all around the globe. The franchise has come a very long way over the past 25 years since its humble beginnings in 1996 with the release of the generation one Red, Blue, and Yellow Pokémon games, now encompassing the release of nine generations of games with the upcoming long awaited release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and 23 seasons of the Pokemon anime.

Usually, around or close to the holiday season, players can participate in seasonal winter themed events in game. For example, October of 2021 saw the worldwide release of the Crown Tundra DLC as an extension of Pokémon Sword and Shield. The Crown Tundra is a snow covered mountainous area which includes the Max Lair, where players can partake in Max Raid Battles either alone or with other players via connection to the internet. All throughout the month of December of last year, players had the opportunity to encounter and catch shiny dynamax ice type pokémon.

Players will likely be able to partake in the same event again in game when December rolls around in just two months. However, it seems that isn’t the only surprise the Pokemon Company has in store for fans this year as the Pokemon Company has released a brand new Pokemon Holiday Pop Up Calendar.

The Pop Up Calendar comes with:

  • 1 pop-up tree (13 inches)
  • 24 Pokémon ornaments
  • 1 tree topper
  • 1 collectible metal ornament with satin ribbon

There may even be some fans who grew up playing Pokemon as a child who are now fully grown adults who have younger siblings and can pass on and share the joy of playing Pokemon together as a family, and this would be the perfect Christmas gift for them.

The Pokemon Holiday Pop Up Calendar will be available at the Pokemon Center on October 18 and is currently available for pre-order from Amazon US, Amazon Canada, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Target, Chapters Indigo, and Walmart.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be released on November 18, 2022.
