For this edition of FanArt Friday, Pokémon Blog is excited to display the art of the fabulous Saunesiss. She also participated in the three generations of Pokédex Ilustrada and Vocaloid Trainer, projects created by the amazing team of Ilustradoras Unidas.
“Art is the way I have to express to others my interpretation of the world and the things I like,” she explained. “I entertain myself (with Art) because, in the end, I am my target audience.“
Pokémon has been with our featured artist all her life.
“I remember being a little girl and playing Pokémon Emerald all day long, thinking that if I won, I could become a Gym Leader, but more than anything, it helped me connect with my peers and was one of the reasons why I started drawing,” she shared.
Combining her love for Pokémon and Art is like connecting with her childhood self and being able to bring to life all the ideas limited by her skills at the time she conceived them.
Her favorite Pokémon is Altaria. She loved it so much that she nicknamed her “cuchurrumí.”
“I remember it with so much fondness. I wish I could fly on a cloud someday,” Saunesiss concluded.
