Regulation Set I is on the way for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Ranked Battles and it kicks off January 5. The update brings a fresh shake-up to competitive play with a new list of eligible Pokémon that should push players to rethink their teams and strategies. Early reactions suggest a mix of hype and curiosity as battlers try to figure out which picks will rise or fall once the new set goes live. If you’ve been looking for a reason to jump back into ladder matches this is a good moment since the start of a regulation shift always sparks new ideas and surprises.
