Lugia and Ho-Oh are joining the Pokémon Trading Card Game: 30th Celebration expansion when it launches Sept. 16, 2026, with new cards showcasing the Johto Legendary Pokémon in dramatic scenes. Lugia’s card by Kazuki Minami depicts the Diving Pokémon battling through heavy rain and features the 250-damage Elemental Blast attack, which requires Energy to be discarded, while Ho-Oh’s card by Anesaki Dynamic shows the Rainbow Pokémon soaring beneath a bright sky and includes the 100-damage Fire Wing attack and Sacred Breath, which removes all damage from one Benched Pokémon at the cost of discarding Ho-Oh’s Energy.
