Pokémon Sleep Mewtwo event brings new research system, Mewtwo DNA and rare sleep styles

Pokémon Sleep will launch the two-week Unexplored Realm Research! Pursue Mewtwo event on Sept. 14, giving players a chance to encounter Mewtwo more frequently, collect Mewtwo DNA and explore new areas of Greengrass Isle. From Sept. 14 at 4 a.m. through Sept. 28 at 3:59 a.m., players will combine their Personal Drowsy Power with Global Drowsy Power from researchers worldwide to increase their Event Drowsy Power and unlock up to 15 event ranks, with the first week capped at Rank 8 before additional rewards become available in Week 2. Mew and Mewtwo will provide a 1.1x Drowsy Power bonus when on the team during sleep, increasing to 1.3x for Mewtwo in Week 2, while Psychic-type Pokémon receive boosted main skill levels, ingredient yields and skill activation rates. New Very Big Mago Berries will also appear, with Mew and Mewtwo capable of bringing the most, followed by other Psychic-type Pokémon.

Mewtwo DNA can be earned through sleep research, limited-time missions, event rank rewards and, for some players, the Research Community, then exchanged for Mewtwo Incense, Mewtwo Biscuits, Main Skill Seeds and other items. Mewtwo will have a greater appearance rate throughout the event, with Natu, Xatu, Espeon, Wobbuffet, Wynaut, Munna and Musharna also appearing more often, while Ralts, Kirlia and Gardevoir can additionally be encountered at Greengrass Isle (Expert). The event will also introduce a large Snorlax during Week 2 and offer a special 70 Mewtwo DNA gift each week to eligible players without the Research Community feature.
