Here’s a heartwarming story for you. Bryce, a nine-year-old boy, recently had his Pokemon card collection stolen right out of his hands by someone who was a few years older than him in Cleveland, Ohio. The victim’s mother called the cops, who were able to retrieve the collection, although some cards were still missing. One of the officers, James Grotenrath, 26, also happened to be a Pokemon fan and offered his Pokemon card collection to Bryce as a compensation for his loss.
“Some of the neighborhood kids were helping Bryce look down for whoever this boy was and we ended up finding him over in Newburgh Heights,” said Grotenrath. “I grew up with Pokemon, I loved Pokemon as a kid and I would be heartbroken too if my cards were taken from me.” Charges weren’t filed against the kid who stole the cards, but at least Bryce ended up with a new friend who shares a similar passion for Pokemon.
