Hot on the heels of this month’s Sinnoh Classic, preparations are already underway for the Unova Classic. The upcoming Pokemon-themed online competition is set to commence on August 26, while registration begins on August 18. The Unova Classic is exclusive to Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire players on Nintendo 3DS. It embraces the Triple Battle format, which was introduced in Nintendo DS titles Pokemon Black and White. This means that all six Pokemon on your team will enter every match.
Participants will be able to put together a team using the first 649 Pokemon in the National Pokédex. All Mythical Pokemon and restricted Legendaries will not be allowed, including Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta and Genesect.
