Last week’s update for Pokemon GO removed the three-step display. If you’re wondering what the reason is behind this decision, it’s because Niantic determined that the feature was confusing and didn’t serve its purpose properly. You can read the developer’s official statement on the matter below:
“We have removed the ‘3-step’ display in order to improve upon the underlying design. The original feature, although enjoyed by many, was also confusing and did not meet our underlying product goals. We will keep you posted as we strive to improve this feature.”
