It’s almost time for the 2017 Pokemon Regional Championships to commence. The very first event in the new season is set to take place this Saturday, October 1, in Phoenix, Arizona. Instead of being clustered into three seasonal periods, Regional events will be spread over the calendar year for the 2017 Championships Series season. In addition, the prize pool for each Regional Championships is bigger than ever before, with individual event prize pools of up to $50,000 – depending on attendance.
