Pokemon Sun and Moon developers reveal which starter they prefer

Pokemon Sun and Moon producer Junichi Masuda and director Shigeru Ohmori of Game Freak have revealed which of the three starters they prefer. In a phone interview with Kotaku, Masuda revealed that he’d probably go with Litten. “At home I have a really tiny cat,” Masuda said. “…it’s 3 kilograms. it crawls around, gets right on my shoulder, so I’m a cat man. I think I’ll probably go with Litten.” On the other hand, Ohmori said he favors Rowlet. “I’d probably go with Rowlette for my favorite,” he said. While neither of them chose the least popular Water type Popplio, Ohmori explained, “There’s two of us, but of course we don’t want to exclude anybody. I personally think that Popplio was very cute and he’ll be very popular with a lot of people.”
