Game Freak: Pokemon GO didn’t affect the development of Pokemon Sun and Moon

Although Game Freak was involved with the development process of Pokemon GO, the popular mobile game hasn’t affected the progression of Pokemon Sun and Moon. The studio confirmed in a recent interview that it was able to work on both projects simultaneously. “In terms of whether Go’s success affected Sun and Moon? It didn’t affect the development of the game, any of the features, but I think it’s going to affect it in a way that, more people, for example, maybe just learned about Pokémon, or came back to Pokémon through Go,” game producer Junichi Masuda told Game Informer. “I think the awareness of Pokémon in general is a lot higher, so that may affect Sun and Moon in a certain way.”
