Certain GameStop stores haven’t received the download cards for this month’s Genesect distribution. Instead, they were given codes and printed them out on plain-old receipts to hand out to players. While the receipt doesn’t contain as much flair as the actual card, we can confirm that it works just the same and includes all of the necessary steps to download the Mythical Pokemon. The November distribution will run until Thursday, November 24. If you have a download code for Genesect, you can follow the below instructions to receive the Pokemon:
- Open your Pokemon X, Y, Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire game on Nintendo 3DS.
- Select Mystery Gift on the main menu.
- Select Receive Gift, then hit Yes to confirm.
- Select Get with Code, the Yes, then Yes again to connect to the Internet.
- Enter your code, then watch as you receive your Genesect.
- Speak to the delivery girl in any Pokemon Center to receive the Pokemon.
- Be sure to save your game.
