Pokemon GO has been nominated for best mobile or handheld game of 2016

The 2016 nominees for The Game Awards have been announced, and the insanely popular Pokemon GO is among them. Niantic‘s latest augmented-reality game has been nominated under the category of best mobile or handheld game. It is going up against Clash Royale, Fire Emblem Fates, Monster Hunter Generations and Severed. Pokemon Sun and Moon weren’t nominated, but that is probably because they haven’t been released yet. The Game Awards 2016 will take place on December 1 in Los Angeles, California, at the Microsoft Theater.
