Pokemon GO has been nominated for the best family game of 2016 by The Game Awards. Niantic‘s popular mobile app, which has also been nominated for best mobile or handheld game, is up against Dragon Quest Builders, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Ratchet & Clank and Skylanders: Imaginators. The best family game category will select the “best game appropriate for family play, including toys-to-life, rhythm/music/dance, and other genres.” All of the winners will be announced at The Game Awards 2016, which will take place on December 1 in Los Angeles, California, at the Microsoft Theater.
