Pokemon TCG Pikachu Illustrator card sold for about $55,000

Certain Pokemon TCG cards are extremely hard to find and some collectors are willing to pay anything to get their hands on them. One such card is a mint condition Pikachu Illustrator card, which was recently sold at auction for a whopping $54,970 (£44,000). This ultra-rare card was originally given to the winners of the 1998 CoroCoro Comic Ullustration Contest. There were less than 40 copies of them released to the public, and only 10 are considered to be in top condition.
