Detective Pikachu movie to be directed by Goosebumps director Rob Letterman

The forthcoming Detective Pikachu movie will be directed Rob Letterman, whose credits include Goosebumps, Monsters Vs. Aliens and Shark Tale. The upcoming live-action film will be distributed by Universal Pictures outside Japan, while Toho will handle distribution in Japan. Not much is known about the movie’s plot, other than the fact that it covers a “difference aspect” in the Pokemon universe. It will be penned by Nicole Perlman and Alex Hirsch
